I buildfast, reliablemobile apps.
I've been making iOS apps since 2019 — working with Swift, UIKit, and everything in between.
Right now I'm at Animaker, building video editing features used by millions.
About me
Mobile dev, slowly branching into AI and web.
I'm Avijit. I've been building iOS apps for 7+ years — everything from video editors to shopping apps to real-time chat systems. Swift and UIKit are my bread and butter.
Lately I've been teaching myself Next.js, React, and TypeScript. This whole site — the compilers, the tools, the blog — I built it myself (with a lot of help from AI coding tools like Claude and Copilot).
I'm not a web developer by trade. But I wanted to understand the full stack, so I just started building. Turns out, shipping a real project is the fastest way to learn.
Right now I'm at Animaker in Chennai, working on their iOS video editor. Before that, I was at CodelogicX and Convergent Infoware in Kolkata — building all kinds of apps for clients.
Core Expertise
Where I've worked
Three companies, a lot of apps shipped.
Senior iOS Engineer
Oct 2022 — Present- Led the iOS side of Animaker's video editor — built features like background removal, AI captions, and the timeline editor
- Cut load times by 40% through profiling and optimization
- Mentored the junior devs on the team and set up code review practices
iOS Engineer
Mar 2021 — Oct 2022- Built a bunch of different iOS apps here — shopping, social, quiz, document scanner, payment apps
- Added real-time chat and live location tracking using Socket.IO
iOS Developer
Jul 2019 — Mar 2021- My first real iOS job. Built apps from scratch using Swift and Objective-C
- Figured out AutoLayout, navigation, and all the things that make iOS development... interesting
- Shipped production apps to the App Store on my own

Companies I've built for
These are the companies whose apps I either built from scratch or helped rebuild.
Things I've built
A mix of client apps, side projects, and open-source work.
Animaker Video Editor
The main product I work on. A full video editor for iOS — with AI background removal, auto-captions, and a multi-track timeline. Millions of people use it.
Steve AI — AI Video Generator
An app that turns text prompts into videos using AI. You type what you want, it generates a video with animations and voiceover.
360 Community
A housing society app — visitors, maintenance requests, payments, all in one place. Uses Socket.IO for real-time updates.
Popping — Social Status
A social media app with live feeds and real-time interactions. Built the iOS version with Socket.IO and Firebase.
Sama Contact Lens
An e-commerce app for contact lenses in the UAE. Product catalog, filters, cart, payment — the full shopping experience.
eCardMe — Digital Business Card
A digital business card app. Create your card, share via QR or NFC tap. Has an admin panel for companies.
National Chilling
An Android app for finding and sharing hangout spots and events. Built with modern Android architecture.
Frust — Anonymous Chat
Anonymous chat app for Android. Real-time messaging with WebSocket, location-based discovery, and content moderation.
EasySkeletonView
An open-source Swift library I made. Adds shimmer loading animations to any UIView with zero config. Published on CocoaPods.
EasyHTML
Another open-source project — a lightweight HTML utility library for quick web prototyping.
Avijit.dev — Portfolio & Tools
This website. 67+ online compilers, 70+ browser tools, a blog engine. Built with Next.js, deployed on Cloudflare. Open source.
AI Workflow Automation
How I use AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor) in my daily work — for both iOS and web development. It's changed how I build things.
Get in touch
Got a project idea? Or just want to talk iOS or app dev? Drop me a message.
I'm always up for talking about new projects — especially anything iOS, mobile architecture, or AI-related. Even if it's just to bounce ideas.
